Does One Need To Be Jewish To Be a Synaogue Member?
On Tuesday, February 2 at 7:00 pm, please join in as we continue our weekly Torah study. This week we will continue our study of some timely and pressing issues.
A few years ago, the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism began to discuss permitting non-Jews membership in our synagogues. In short order, the umbrella group of Conservative/Masorti congregations passed a resolution allowing the practice. Although the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards has never considered the issue as one of halakhah, it has provoked broad and animated discussion.
