The Choir

The Shaar Shalom Choir has been in existence since the Synagogue was formed in 1953. While its members have changed over time, the spirit of fun and camaraderie through song and prayer has not. For many years, Florie Fineberg directed the choir, and in 2005, Ezra Wexler took over as choir director. Today the Shaar Shalom Choir consists of singers of all ages. It has beautifully enhanced the Kol Nidre service with such songs as Kihine Kahomer, V'Nislach and of course, Kol Nidre. Always looking to expand the choir’s membership, repertoire, and exposure, Ezra would be happy to hear from anyone interested in joining and can be contacted through the synagogue office.
