Selichot
The Shaar 1981 Oxford St, Halifax, NS, CanadaSelichot are Jewish penitential poems and prayers, especially those said in the period leading up to the High Holidays, and on Fast Days. Join us for a musical Havdalah, short service and special multi-media program and learning, preparing us for the upcoming High holiday season. Co-facilitated by Rabbi Rank, Rabbi Weiss, and Lucy Kleinerman.

Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv
Kabbalat Shabbat - Welcoming Shabbat Services, are held weekly on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m. The time changes to 5:30 p.m. during the fall and winter. The 5:30 service time will begin November 10th following the Fall time change.

Kol Nidrei
The Shaar 1981 Oxford St, Halifax, NS, CanadaKol Nidrei is the prayer recited in the synagogue at the beginning of the evening service on the Day of Atonement. Our Kol Nidre Service is open without restriction to all who wish to worship with us at the Shaar Shalom.
