Lieutenant General the Honourable Roméo A. Dallaire Delivers the 2017 Shaar Shalom Lecture at Dalhousie: “All Humans are Human”

Roméo Dallaire is a retired Lieutenant-General, former Senator, and is celebrated as a humanitarian worldwide. His passion for child rights and protection led him to establish The Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative at Dalhousie. The Dallaire Initiative is a global partnership with the mission to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers. This mission was inspired by his experience as the UN Force Commander leading the peacekeeping mission in Rwanda (UNAMIR).
