DESCRIPTION:The Rabbinical Assembly (RA) is the world-wide association of Conservative/Masorti rabbis. The Committee on Jewish Law and Standards (CJLS)\, the central legal authority of Conservative Judaism\, operates under the umbrella of the RA\, and is once again sponsoring the International Seminar for Halakhic Study\, a day on which Conservative/Masorti communities will come together to study a specific teshuvah (legal responsum) of the CJLS. You can learn more about the work of the CJLS\, the process of halakhah (Jewish law)\, and the Seminar by clicking here. \n  \nIn the Fall 2020 International Seminar for Halakhic Study\, we will study egalitarian marriage with the teshuvot by Rabbis Pamela Barmash and Gail Labovitz.
